The founders and principals of Granite Block’s management are seasoned professionals in the high-tech, construction, and financial arenas. This blending of expertise has produced a state-of-the-art Internet Data Center and a team capable of delivering first-class services to its tenants.
Roland Patenaude, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Patenaude directs all aspects of the construction and expansion of the data center and is involved in shareholder relations. He has leveraged his construction background to ensure Granite Block’s building design would meet the most demanding tenant requirements. Prior to joining Granite Block, Mr. Patenaude was President & CEO of Patenaude Realty and the President & CEO of Colo Construction Inc. He brings over thirty years experience in construction and holds a Massachusetts General Contractors license. He is a graduate of Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and Associates Degrees in Psychology and Education.
Jules J. Cardin, Jr., Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Cardin brings over 25 years of financial management experience to the company. He joined Granite Block in 2008 after a banking career as a commercial loan officer with various financial institutions. He oversees the accounting and business development functions of the company. Cardin is a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, R. I. with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management.
Steven E. Brabant, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Brabant brings 20 years of data storage facility management, construction, and marketing management to Granite Block. He has managed all aspects of a $100+ million dollar Premier Colocation/ Data Center and 10 remote US and International sites. Brabant is responsible for coordinating customer builds, space planning and resource allocation. Additionally, he oversees all customer and facility installations, troubleshooting, repair, testing of vendor and customer supplied equipment, support, and programming.
