You are considering Granite Block for a number of different reasons. Convenience is on the list as well as security. But number one is power and we have the ability to provide you with as much power as you can use. The facility is being built in 20,000 sq. ft modules and each module will have from 120 watts, buildable up to 220 watts per square foot of electrical power available.
We strive to keep your equipment operational at all times so the company's systems have a primary and secondary, 2N redundancies, lines. Each side will have a 1500 kw diesel generator and 750 KVA UPS with up to nine (9) minutes of battery capacity available until the generators ramp up to meet demand. We have the ability to provide flexible power, up to 220 watts per square foot, 120v, 208v, 20, through 60 amps in a single or three phase power arrangement.
The generators are not useful without fuel. Most data centers have a small fuel storage capacity due to local zoning regulations and in a disaster they rely on their storage tanks being continually filled by a local fuel supplier. But the fact that the area is experiencing conditions that would require the dependence on the generators for electrical power would bring into question the ability of the supplier to continually supply fuel to keep the generators operating. Granite Block does not have these issues as we have on site storage for 20,000 gallons of fuel, enough storage capacity to operate our generators for up to 14 days without relying on outside suppliers to deliver fuel. We do also maintain contracts with area suppliers to insure that we can operate beyond our existing fuel storage capacity.
